I first admired a Kirsten Beets image on Salon 91’s instagram feed – it was one of her tiny swimmers oil paintings and I instantly fell in love. Then I saw a few IRL at the Cape Town Art Fair and they’re incredible. Her work is playful and fun. They make me smile. There’s something innocent and fanciful about her work. So I knew we had to go enjoy her solo exhibition (on until 4 August 2018) at Salon 91. And enjoy we did.
